Image from Louis Wang's SVT Page. Temporary until I make my own.
This is my 1999 Ford Contour SVT page. The SVT in the picture above isn't mine, but it is the same color... The color is officially called Toreador Red, and mine has a tan leather interior. Mine is number 2553 of 2760 produced. The SVT Contour
was available from 1998-2000 as a pumped up version of the Ford Contour. It is powered by Ford's 2.5L dual overhead cam high-output Duratech V6. Compared to the hublot replica standard
Contour, the SVT features: upgraded suspension, lightened flywheel, Extrude Honed intakes, larger throttle body (60mm), larger mass air sensor (70mm), high flow stainless
steel quasi-dual exhaust system, larger front disc brakes, 16" aluminum 5-spoke wheels with high performance tires, leather interior, white faced gauge cluster, 5-speed manual transmission,
SVT front fascia/side cladding/rear bumper, and as with all SVT vehicles the car comes fully loaded with all options (power drivers seat, leather trim, power moon roof, A/C, etc...).
I bought it with 10,000 miles on it and have been in love with it ever since...
So far the car is almost stock... all I have done for modifications are:
B&M short shifter kit - really improved shifting.
K&N open element air filter - more photos in the photo gallery.
"Pre-98" black sail panels to replace the "Contour" panels on the doors.
Removed the door ding guard strips.
"Aussie Bar" rear sway bar
Removed center resonator
LED side blinkers
Index of photos - I haven't had time to organize them
